Swanton Youth Football

Swanton Rec. is excited to announce we will be offering a youth football program for the Missisquoi Valley this fall. This program would be serving grades 1st through 8th. The concept of this program is to let kids learn the basics of the game of football and introduction to organized formats. This will be a non padded program that instructs kids on the fundamentals of the game and provides personal growth and confidence. 

What it will look like
-FUN!

-Open to all kids in Swanton and from surrounding towns of Swanton

-2 Practices a week. Afternoon/early evening at Jewett Street

-Season is Monday August 29th through Saturday October 1st

-Fundamentals and training

-Joint practices with existing programs

-7v7 competitions

-No equipment

What will players need?
-Comfortable clothes for outdoor activity

-Cleats are not necessary but certainly help

-Water bottle

-Willingness to try something new!

***We are currently looking for volunteer coaches. Must be able to pass background check and USA Football Certification

-Will be open from June 1st to August 15th!
