Northwest Little League at Swanton Recreation

Swanton Recreation supports the program by providing fields and maintenance, as well as practice field scheduling. Swanton Recreation also hosts registrations for Northwest Little League. 

This is general information on the Little League programs that are offered each year.  This is not the page to register on.  When registration is open you will find the registration page under the "Youth Sports" Column on the Program Listing under the Register Tab above.

 Baseball


Northwest Little League proudly serves children in Swanton, Highgate and Franklin each year.  
Northwest Little League is for ages 4-12, and covers T-Ball, Baseball and Softball.
The following is for Softball and Baseball regular season




  • Players who are league age 4-6 are eligible to be selected to a Tee Ball team.


  • Players who are league age 6-8 that have participated for one regular season in the Tee Ball Division are eligible to be selected to a Farm League Division (coach pitch) team.


  • Players who are league age 7-11 are eligible to be selected to a Minor League Division team (player pitch) for the regular season. The local league board of directors may decide the age-cut offs within this age grouping.


  • Players who are league age 9-12 are eligible to be selected to a Little League (“Major”) Division team for the regular season. 




The baseball and softball seasons start with practice beginning mid-late April as weather permits, and with games starting in May and lasting until mid-June. 

Northwest Little League also host All-Star Baseball/Softball leagues
