Youth Appreciation Month/Gala

Join Us for an Unforgettable Evening Celebrating Youth Achievement and all of the amazing young people that live in our community!

YOUTH APPRECIATION GALA Event Details:




  • Date: May 31, 2024


  • Time: 6-7 Parents reception, 7-9 Youth Only Celebration


  • Venue: Swanton Public Library, Kings Daughters Room 


  • Dress Code: Casual




Program Highlights:




  • Welcome Reception: Mingle and connect with fellow supporters of youth empowerment, and youth leaders over snacks and light refreshments.


  • Recognition Ceremony: Be inspired as we recognize and applaud the remarkable accomplishments of young individuals who have excelled community service, and leadership.


  • Youth are invited to stay for a special after party with their peers





Youth Appreciation Nomination Criteria




  • Age Eligibility:




    • Nominees must between 12-19






Nominated youth should:




  • Demonstrated outstanding achievements or contributions in community service and leadership


  • The nominee's actions should have made a positive impact on their community, school, peers, or a broader audience.


  • Shows leadership qualities, initiative, and a proactive approach in addressing challenges or pursuing opportunities.


  • Exhibits resilience, perseverance, and determination in overcoming obstacles or setbacks.


  • Engages actively in community service, volunteering, or other activities that contribute to the betterment of society.


  • Serves as an inspiration and role model for their peers and others, motivating them to strive for excellence and positive change.


  • Demonstrates strong character, integrity, ethical conduct, and a commitment to positive values.


  • Shows potential for future growth, success, and continued impact on the community


  • Exclusions:








    • Nominees with any history of misconduct, ethical violations, or behavior inconsistent with the values of the gala may be disqualified from consideration.






This criteria serve as guidelines to ensure that nominees for the Youth Appreciation Gala embody the spirit of excellence, service, and inspiration that the event seeks to celebrate.
