It is that time again, to begin registering your child for summer Babe Ruth Baseball!!
We plan to have a 12 game schedule starting in early June. This will run approximately 1 month before the all star portion of the season kicks in. The Northwest VT ( Swanton) Babe Ruth teams will participate in the Chittenden County League with home games at Missisquoi Valley Union high school.
We will plan to field a 13 yr old team and a combined 14/15 yr old team. In past years numbers dictated that we field one or two combination 13-15 teams. This could be a possibility but we will need to wait and see the numbers.
Field space will be shared amongst our 13 and 14/15 yr old teams. This summer we will only have one field for use which is a change from recent years. Games will be played on the Middle school/ JV field.
It is our intent to limit team rosters to 13 players per team to maximize playing time. Rosters will be developed on a first come first serve basis.
Players will need to be signed up AND paid up by 5/20/24......this ensures they all have uniforms by the first few games and that the program has the appropriate funds to operate. This will also give us time to form teams and get everyone together before the first games begin.
A player will not be considered registered until payment and completed registration forms are received.
Players from ANY town within Franklin County can play for Swanton based teams, although we encourage you to play within your high school teams town, unless there are other circumstances at play.
Attached are the registration form and “Consent to Treat” form. The registration cost is $110 per player. Each player will receive a uniform shirt and hat. The registration fee covers the cost of chartering our teams, the league insurance, umpire fees, equipment, and uniforms. Registration opens today ( April 23rd . The deadline for registration will be May 20th, 2024

Please note 12-year-olds (who will turn 13 between May 1 and August 31) BUT are not eligible to play Little League ( aged out) can play Babe Ruth.
Please share registration information with any families we may have missed this posting. It will also be sent to our local recreation department to distribute. Be on the lookout!!
